Hi, we’re Ryan and Luke - your MSAP Co-Chairs for 2025!

Dear Medical Students’ Aid Project members and community, 

From being members of MSAP committee from 2022 to being part of the 2024 executive, we have long been passionate about continuing the work of our predecessors in enhancing global health engagement in the UNSW Medicine and Health community. We are excited to broaden the scope of MSAP’s flagship events to include all university students, and work alongside our executives to engage deeply with global health education, advocacy and collaboration. 

We aim to continue building upon the activities and outreach that MSAP has conducted over the past two and a half decades by strengthening our relationship with existing partners, finding new ways to collaborate with similar organisations, and promoting events to a broader audience, in particular engaging with other allied health degrees within the medicine faculty. At the same time, we will prioritise our volunteer wellbeing, supporting them with their endeavours both inside and outside of the organisation. 

This year, MSAP plans to continue running flagship events including Birthing Kit Night, Global Health Short Course and our overseas Elective Aid Program. We also plan to introduce new opportunities for student engagement with educational reels and sharing short “Friends’ Ed” presentations on global health topics through social media.

MSAP’s activities are strongly reliant upon our student volunteers who make up our executive and committees. To enhance their experience, we aim to introduce more opportunities for our team in upskilling, networking and learning through internal and external events. Additionally, we are implementing a Welfare Policy to support our team holistically, which will continue to be reviewed quarterly. With this, we aim to ensure that MSAP remains a welcoming, inclusive community.
